We're teaming up with Fern Collective to help support a local Dunedin whānau who are facing significant financial pressure while navigating severe Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
This young person urgently needs to travel out of town to see a specialist, but with no public funding currently available and ongoing medical challenges impacting the parents' ability to work, the costs of transport, accommodation, and specialist care have become overwhelming.
To help, we're giving our community the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, with every dollar raised going directly to help cover the costs this whānau are facing.
How it works:
- Each ticket costs $3.50
- Every ticket purchased gives you one entry into the draw
- You can purchase as many tickets as you'd like by adjusting the quantity before checkout
- Ticket numbers will be allocated randomly
- One winner will receive a $40 Whānau Compass voucher to spend on any books, games, resources, or products across our website
- The winner will be drawn on 1 June and announced on our Facebook page and an email will be sent to the winner.
Whether you're able to purchase one ticket or several, your support will help this whānau access the specialist care they need and remind them that they don't have to walk this journey alone.

Frequently asked questions
Can I pay by invoice for my order?
Absolutely!
If you're purchasing for a school or business and would prefer to be sent an invoice for your order just send a list of the products you're after to us at kiaora@whanaucompass.org.nz and we'll get an invoice sent through to you.
Once payment is received we'll get the order put together and sent out to you.
Can I return items from my order?
Definitely!
If for any reason you aren’t happy with your order then please email kiaora@whanaucompass.org.nz, letting us know you’d like to return an item, we will then provide you with a return address for that order and will provide you with a full refund for the item (not including the shipping cost).
We are happy to exchange or refund your items within 30 days of your purchase, provided they can be returned to us in their original packaging and "as new" condition.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Due to courier services (at times) being unreliable, we have overestimated delivery timeframes to do our best to ensure your expectations are met.
- Canterbury: 2-4 working days
- South Island: 2-5 working days
- North Island 4-6 working days
The item I want is out of stock. When will it be back?
When an item sells out we aim to get it back in stock as soon as possible. If you'd like us to let you know once it's back, send us an email to kiaora@whanaucompass.org.nz
