A story about big feelings and finding calm together
When the rooster loses his cool, the whole farm feels it. But his animal friends gently show him how to pause, breathe, and find calm again - a playful, heartwarming way to introduce tamariki to emotional regulation.
With gentle repetition, humour, and a relatable storyline, Calm the Farm makes big ideas like mindfulness and self-regulation feel simple and accessible. Includes a QR code for guided mindfulness audio to extend the learning.
How this resource supports our tamariki:
This book can help kids recognise what happens in their bodies when they feel dysregulated, and give them simple strategies to try. Read it regularly and talk about how your child feels when they’re upset or overwhelmed. Over time, the story becomes a shared reference point for calming down together.
